I feel for this family, but they're not going to get any restitution. I-66 tolls are privately owned, and the company is allowed to price gouge. I've seen the toll change from $4.15 to $16.50 in a matter of seconds, for an 8 mile trip. It should be illegal, but it's not. apple.news/AeV1gUAMJRtS...

I'm pretty sure MS still considers open source to be cancerous to their own IP. What they did was effectively co-opt open source so they could monetize the ecosystem with multiple SaaS products, built on the backs of every single public github repo in existence.

The IDF certainly seems to think so. I think everyone has seen the videos of soldiers chanting that "there are no innocent Palestinians". The irony is that Isreal's actions are going to be directly responsible for the new generation of Hamas - kids who want revenge for their murdered family.

According to literally ALL conceivable metrics, man. At the very best, Isreal has killed about 2000 Hamas fighters. That leaves 34,000 civilian bodies on their hands, and that's not counting the bodies buried under the rubble. That means that only 0.05% of the bodies are Hamas - 99.05% civilian.

Defending yourself is one thing. I don't think anyone has an issue with that. The problem arises when one side has killed 30x the number they lost - most of them innocent civilians.

In rejecting any notion of Palestinian sovereignty, Netanyahu engages in the exact same thing he (and many others) accuse antisemites of - denial of a people's right to exist and to self-determination. To call him a hypocrite is too kind. At what point does he get held to account?

Three fact that this is a suspension instead of a firing, tells me that Netanyahu is mad that the minister "said the quiet part out loud" instead of keeping it behind closed doors. I can't believe that the idea itself hasn't been floated by the Israeli government at all.
