Capacity (from a psychological perspective) - need to have some functional abilities (express a choice, rationale, comprehension, choice in line with expressed values). Usually financial capacity is the first domain with concern but not always recognized.

Comprehensive geriatric assessments in hospitalized older adults showed stepwise increase in mortality with increased number of geriatric syndromes. 15 syndromes were assessed concurrently!
