Seems @ofcom.bsky.social really dropped the ball with new rules on in-contract price-rises. Last time I had to get a new telecoms contract, the big players mostly did CPI/RPI (= vaguely reasonable) + 3.9% (= pure money-grab). Now they add on whatever the hell they want — e.g. 13% here from EE.

Can’t decide whether to use ALL CAPS, all lowercase, Sentence case or Title Case in your app UI? No worries: just pick a different one at random, separately for every control, like Renault do. 🙄

A shining example of how not to communicate, courtesy of Brighton & Hove. Obviously wholly unenforceable (how can you prove who did it?), so its only effect is to make everyone hate them. The cherry on top is that our bins only ever block the pavement when the bin collectors leave them that way.

I have a PhD. I teach programming to PhD students. I've been responsible for information security in a small company. Nevertheless, my university insists that I do anti-phishing training which appears to have been very specifically designed for 6 year olds.
