Navaea phoenicea es un endemismo canario que produce mucho néctar para atraer a las aves que la polinizan. Para ello tiene más "pelillos" secretores en los nectarios. Es una de las muchas maravillas que nos han contado @javierfuertes.bsky.social en el RJB-CSIC sobre la diversidad de las malváceas.

Desert Five-spot (Eremalche rotundifolia). No idea how it got its common name. 🌿🌸
