Maia, as a 68-year-old nurse, my advice is: do NOT go for Medicare Advantage, no matter how confusing trad Medicare is. You're only setting yourself to be denied services when you can least afford it.

Medicare Advantage must be abolished. They lure people into the trap of being denied services by offering paltry extras like glasses, or a dental cleaning. Parts A&B should be combined to cover everything. Supplemental/gap plans shouldn't be necessary. Take insurance companies out of the equation.
