I'm still drawing I swear 👉👈 I did some personal/experimental art to try some digital painting. And why not an adorable little subject, the Karure/Black Robin who recently won Aotearoa New Zealand's Bird of the Year! 💜 Reference: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_r...

Speaking of Zarog, look at the incredible reference sheet @gearpunk.bsky.social made for me! 😭💜 Gaze upon my beefy beast baby he helped bring to life! I love her so much, and Gear helped pull her out of my brain and gave her such good shapes! I especially love her rage form on the right, it's sick!

An art reference sheet for a character named Zarog.

She is a white tiefling with two forms, her normal humanoid form on the left, and her larger, more beastial rage form on the right.

Similar features between both forms include an all white body, with black face paint giving her face a skull effect. She has milky white eyes, long black hair with an undercut, pointed ears, a thick and long barbed tail, and grey horns that curl backwards and wrap back around to the front of her face. She wears a dark purple tank top over a bandaged chest, a black fur cloak, black knee-length pants with open thighs, a loincloth, a belt around her waist with more black fur trim, and leather arm bracers with black fur trim. She carries a large great axe, and wears a boar tusk bracelet on her right wrist.

In her beast form, she is much larger, with wolf and draconic features. Her legs are beefy dragon legs with massive claws, and her tail is longer with additional barbs. Patches of black fur cover her shoulders, upper arms, and down along her spine and partly down her tail. She grows a second set of horns on top of her regular ones. And her face elongates to a snout, and her mouth is full of sharp teeth. The beast form on the right includes a shadow of her normal form as a size comparison.

In the top left corner is a reference of her face without the skull face paint.

In the top right corner is a reference of her face without horns or hair, a reference without face paint, and a reference for a front view of her beast form face.

In the top middle is the color palette reference.

A digital drawing of a Furby toy turned into a gryphon. The creature has blue-green fur with pale yellow accents on its wings, ears, chest and underside. Its paws are black, and it has a white tuft of fur on top of its head. Its gray plastic eyes stare soulessly into the distance while its bright yellow round beak hangs open in a silent scream.

Congratulations on 500! 💜 And thank you so much for hosting! I'm Java and I love to draw characters, especially non-humans! I also really, really love Mass Effect 💜

Legion from the Mass Effect game series. A robotic character in black and gray tones, with a bright flashlight for an optical receptor. Legion wears a rough piece of Commander Shepard's upper body N7 armor, which is primarily dark gray with a white and red stripe down the right shoulder piece.

Tali from the Mass Effect game series. Character wearing a helmet that obscures their face with a screen and a purple cloth head covering with swirling patterns.

A sketch of Garrus from the Mass Effect game series. He is a male alien (Turian) character with a gray spiked fringe on his head, and blue face paint on. He wears an eyepiece and a blue colored jacket. He is slightly insect-like in appearance with mandibles on both sides of his jaw.

A portrait of Jaal from the game Mass Effect Andromeda.

He is an alien with pink skin, and a fairly flat nose which is a darker pink. He has large blue eyes with mottled gray spots. He has three piercings on the left side of his head (Right side of the canvas), and wears a blue eyepiece over his right eye (Left side of the canvas). His forehead and the top of his head has darker pink mottled spots. He also wears a cyan shawl around his shoulders over dark gray armor. There is a starry space background behind him.

He has snake bite piercings, an eyebrow piercing, and a large black piercing in his visible ear. His nails are painted black. There is a frozen river in the background, along with a large leafless tree to the left, and a small gray bunny to the right on the other side of the river.
