if any republican wants to cry about it just point to the long list of people that Trump corruptly pardoned in his last days in power. Of course they will somehow argue that the Hunter pardon is worse but we know that Trumps pardons are obviously orders of magnitude more corrupt than hunters pardon

they are not all like that. Bill Barr was appointed by Trump and when Trump wanted Barr to help him amplify explicit lies about the 2020 election Barr said no and resigned. attorney generals are and should be loyal to their respective presidents but they should also not be corrupt pieces of shit

In my opinion the main issue with Matt Gaetz is that he is a total trump stooge. previous attorney generals like Bill Barr and Jeffrey Rosen stood up to Trump when Trump tried insane and illegal actions to try and steal the 2020 election. Matt Gaetz would do anything Trump wants him to do.
