For my last medium format drawing (for now), I went with a possibly controversial pick. Holga 120N camera illustration done in @procreate.com #art #procreateart #mediumformat #filmphotography

Okay, after five, I think I’m done drawing nigiri. Here’s yellowtail. Again using @procreate.com #art #digitalart #illustration

I had another go at drawing the Ripple Bagel & Deli in Indianapolis, Indiana. The handful of urban sketches I've done so far in @procreate.com felt too stiff to me and felt out of place with my cartoonier style. Anyway, happier with this result. #urbansketch #illustration #digitalart

When I started drawing I was really worried about finding my style. Sky-doll inspired me lot. But ultimately, at some point you have to let go and things kinda settle on their own. If you look at my work in 2019, 2022 or now, you can see that my art is always changing even so slightly. (1/2)

I’ve been someone who typically can adopt a “death of the author” mentality - separating art from the artist. Hemingway? Picasso? Terrible people, but I enjoy their work. Though this is obviously more difficult when they are alive. Neil Gaiman 1/7

Something you witness volunteering is that people tend to go for roles that are similar to what they do for work. Marketers want to help with PR. Developers mentor high school STEM students. A chef might help out at a food drive. And more often than not leaders want to be leaders.

“In an era where corporations are censoring references to queer or trans characters out of fear of backlash, there’s a resonance in having Wonder Woman defy divine law to speak the word “Amazon” aloud. In particular, there’s resonance in giving that moment to a queer-coded character.”

Earlier in the year, I wrote a fairly lengthy post about how everything you needed to know about the legal challenges facing Generative AI and "AI Art" could probably be learned from De La Soul (including this drawing I did). #art #delasoul

A benefit of Bluesky being a newish platform is that I can freely post the drawings I’m doing for a coworker’s secret Santa gift. Among her list of interests was Studio Ghibli, so we’re starting with Totoro. The drawing is a mix of Microns and brush pens on rough linen. #art #totoro #studioghibli

It's as good a first post as any — was inspired by the coverage of Margret "Legendary Glamma" Chola, an 80-something Zambian who's become a fashion icon. Probably not the last drawing I do of her. #art #legendaryglamma
