This is how it must have felt when his father’s mind was so far gone that they cut off his phones. They removed his ability to do damage yet let him feel he was still a kingpin and real estate mogul. Unfortunately, we have two more years.

The only difference is that the toddler comes out and at least “says” that they learned a lesson. Toddler Trump comes out and says “Yeah, I did it and I’m going to do it even worse the next time.” Unfortunately, Garland and Biden didn’t believe him.

It’s amazing how the “regrets” show up when it’s time for the book tour (sarcasm intended). Tillis knew Hegseth would be a dumpster fire and voted for it anyway. Just wait for the slew of books in a few years from GOP members saying they actually opposed Trump.

Republican Sen. Tillis calls his vote for Hegseth the 'biggest regret of my career' in a new book
Republican Sen. Thom Tillis says in a new book that his deciding vote to confirm Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in January 2025 is the “biggest regret of my career.”

Trump never ever gives anything unless he can make a production of it. Call me when the cash is actually deposited. Hint: It won’t be. Either that or he’ll pull some other maneuver where he gets the amount “paid” back in some other way.

That’s the thing, Democrat or Republican behind the scenes many of these folks consider themselves the “ruling class” and act accordingly. The rest of us are just useful tools to get them the power they seek so they can then ignore us and line their own pockets.

Apologizing for mistakes is the mark of a “sucker” or “loser” in MAGA’s eyes. Never back off. Never say you’re sorry or got it wrong. Ever. They wear their stubbornness and ignorance with pride. It masks the truth they only admit in private: they’re woefully unqualified for the jobs they have.

There’s no extra money for things to improve people’s lives, but we have tens of millions for this nonsense. Up next at the mic: Mike Johnson will say that he hasn’t seen the ads and that Homeland Security isn’t “his lane.”

Every president, corporate leader, media mogul, etc. But the sad fact is that many are making more money than ever with Trump So they have seemingly little concern if the end of democracy in the USA is the price to be paid.

ICE has a bigger budget than the Marine Corps & still conned Congress out of $20M more for bodycams. Swore every agent would wear one by August. It’s September and ICE shot an Austinite in the back. They say there was no camera. They’re liars with masks and a blank check from Trump.

No matter what side of the aisle you’re on, this argument should be chilling. Trying to limit freedom of the press under the guise of national security is what tinpot dictators do. That’s not how a functioning democracy works.

Trump is one man. He’s been aided and abetted by a variety of other grifters since he first emerged in NYC back in the 1990s. Members of today’s GOP (and Supreme Court) are just the latest in a long line to folks who’ve been part of the cesspool Trump has created.

Ingraham is a grifter of the first order. But even she looks like she’s thinking, “My goodness, he can even make up a halfway decent lie anymore. He’s just stringing together words (negative growth, tariff’s, etc) like a wayward child and hoping that the teacher can make sense of them.”

Vance gets some benefit from standing next to one of (if not the) worst presidents of all time. I mean Trump just tried to claim the moon and publicly imagine himself as Green Lantern. By that standard, Vance is at least competent in the minds of some.

Some days we get “AI helped discover cancer cells five years earlier than a human doctor.” So we think, “Wow this tech might really help improve our lives.” Then we get stupid stuff like this (of course from Zuck and Meta) and are reminded of AIs massive waste.

And that’s what makes this all the more dangerous. It’s like a football team getting rid of all the starters and trying to win with practice squad players. It’s not that those folks aren’t pros, it’s that they’re not the first team.
