Been riffing on Karpathy's LLM wiki idea with a daily ChatGPT job that considers recent chats, coding sessions, recent daily notes, and Readwise Reader articles and generates a daily deep dive into these topics. It drops a link to the markdown report in today's daily note in my notes app.

I've been vibe coding a native macOS/iOS notes app. It takes inspiration from Roam, Reflect, Tana, and Obsidian but keeps things simple. Built with SwiftUI (w/ CodeMirror editor surface) and Markdown files for storage. I'll probably the only user but it's been fun to work on.

I finally got around to making one of those standalone TouchID boxes. Got the button kit on eBay, model from Printables, printed at Craftcloud. Mounted under my desk and works perfectly.

When struggling with a design, I've always known when I've had a breakthrough because the solution is obvious in retrospect. I think this is why a lot of good design goes unnoticed - because you think that's obviously how it should look and work. But getting there is always challenging.

Over the last few months, I've rebuilt my RSS / content reader project call Feedster. It's unique in that it gives users a front page view of their feed content, organizes feeds into channels, allows users to share these channels, and supports MCP for AI agents to access feeds.

I've been on a simpler/faster software kick lately. Google → Kagi Google Workspace → Fastmail Notion Calendar → Apple Calendar (+ Dot) Reeder → NetNewsWire 1Password → Proton Pass (1P change mainly because it's not playing well w/ Tahoe for me)
