This is a photo I've wanted to capture for years. Every once and a while I would see a small stream of water flowing on the side of a moss-covered wall. It was only during this rainy hike where I was able to finally get this. #photograpy #landscapephotography #waterfall

This was one of my favorite trips to this park. It didn't matter that the constant rain was a challenge. The water flow meant that there was so much of it that it forced me to take photos from angles I've never shot at. #Photography #Landscapephotography #Waterfalls #waterfallwednesday

Ricketts Glen State Park in Pennsylvania has over 20 waterfalls. I was even able to capture a few waterfalls that only show up during heavy rain. It was raining the entire time here, and there was no chance I was able to keep everything dry. PRO TIP!!! But a bag of cheap shower caps and keep them in your bag. They are an easy way to cover your camera in between shooting.

Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center in Philadelphia at sunset.

Designed by architect Junzo Yoshimura, Shofuso was built in Japan in 1953 using traditional techniques and materials. It was shipped to New York and exhibited in the courtyard of the Museum of Modern Art in New York before moving to West Fairmount Park in 1958. In 2007, international artist Hiroshi Senju, inspired by the garden’s waterfall, donated 20 contemporary murals to Shofuso, which are permanently displayed inside the house. This historic site and museum includes a hill and pond garden with a tiered waterfall, island, and koi fish, a tea garden featuring a traditional tea house, and a courtyard garden leading to a bathhouse.

If it's a light rain and overcast, it's a perfect day to photograph waterfalls to me. No direct sunlight to wash out the shadows, and it's easier to do longer exposures.

Synchronous fireflies light up a forest floor, covered in green grass. Large colonies of Synchronous fireflies flash together for 6-7 times, then everything goes dark for 5-6 seconds until they start up again. It's natures magic.

Schwabacher Landing at sunrise Arive before sunrise, and you'll be able to see the light from the sun touch the peaks first. But don't let that warm glow fool you. It was a few notches below freezing, which was apparent when I picked up my backpack and frost was covering it. It hit 80 later.

Some views are timeless. Even though this was from my trip in September, the landscape could be the backdrop from over a hundred years past. A great place to set up your homestead and start a farm. Which is exactly what the area at Mormon's row was used for.
