Trump's new America.gov website confirms he lost the 2020 election. Oh, and it calls itself "AI" and not "SI" so I'm sure he's screaming at someone to fix both problems right away.

The whole "go woke go broke" thing has never been true, but the opposite always is. Anyway, Bari Weiss is obviously massively unqualified and a huge failure by any ordinary standards.

Apple stopped reporting unit sales like 8 years ago, but a reasonable estimate looks like this: Apple Silicon and pandemic were a surge (in sales and performance). Last I can remember any kind of push from Valve on the mac side was like 2010-2012 ish maybe? Is that the timeframe?

Google Maps and Apple Maps took it seriously. They both currently label it Gulf of America. And I'd like to THINK it will be quickly changed back, but the way the Democrat party establishment always seems keen to "move on" and "turn the page" I'm not so sure.

Took me like 1 minute to find this. Less time than prompting an AI and getting a result.

Recent example: working hours per worker has been flat all over the globe for FIFTY YEARS, despite massive technology improvements. They're actually UP a bit in China, who has seen the biggest technology and automation improvements of all.

Hey Gmail could we fucking NOT with this? Your AI spam filtering has gotten so much worse lately. Legit authentication codes and stuff going to the spam folder, and totally obvious spam landing in my inbox. Now you want to process my whole inbox into an LLM-powered to-do list or whatever?

I followed up and got it to be right. Nice to see that there isn't an LLM on earth you don't have to double-check, and can do it right if you do, but not before you correct it.

I couldn't agree with this more. New features and core model updates need to be on a much more rapid cycle than annual.

Things are going really great with our AI future. The extraction-class companies in charge of this stuff are DEFINITELY not moving too fast and forcing it all upon us whether we want it or not.

During iPhone setup, and major updates, they ask you which things you want notifications summaries for, and have to opt in for each category (including Messages). If you haven't seen this ever or it keeps turning itself back on, that's definitely a bug!

FWIW - Apple has a built-in transfer tool that will take all your playlists and other saved music right over. (does not work on dynamic playlists obviously) It's right there in Settings > Apps > Music. On Android, open the Apple Music app, then three-dot menu, then Settings.

But it also does weird stuff. The AI chatbots seem programmed to keep engagement going by prompting you for more...ending in a question about more it can do for you. I got this one...

Once again, the companies that tout the success of AI are the ones that force it into everything, practically REQUIRING its use, whether it's helpful or not. "Nice browser you got there. Let me just...pin this AI button you never asked for...and nag you about it...change around some defaults... "

After the Xfinity chat support guy feeding me incorrect information and failing to set up my modem properly, and then waiting on hold for 40 minutes to talk to tier 2 tech support, I *finally* got my gateway set up right.

1. The amount of criminal self-dealing Musk does is incredible and it's crazy nobody has sued him and the board. 2. This whole statement is literally insane. Not figuratively insane; literally. If you go to to work for Elon Musk today, you're going to work for Howard Huges in 1955.

ah! found another shot. The hair is there, just shorter.
Donald Trump shuffles along to leave the White House on his way to play golf for America. His skin is pale and sagging off his bloated skeleton. He wears a white ballcap with thin spiderweb hair poking out from underneath.
