Imaginary character prowling in purgatory straddling the fine line of living in my own mind and waiting in line at Disneyland.

Roller coaster X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain to be closed following reports, notably reported by CNN, of various head injuries. The reality is, with everyone now potentially alleging an injury, they're going to be too many lawsuits for Six Flags to deal with.

These days I don't put anything past the Disney destruction of parks. However, the rumor of destroying and rebuilding the Matterhorn elsewhere in the park seems a bit too unlikely. A complete rebuild at its current site within mountain seems more likely to pass.

Another reason why L.A. could never have a proper autumn, aside from the weather, is due to all the fun crunchy leaves being blown away by an army of leaf blowers.

I'm convinced perceived enjoyment of summer and hot weather are, like most things in America, driven by childhood nostalgia.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but we really need to stop glamorizing summertime and hot weather. Multiple studies show hot weather isn't good for your mental and physical health. Also, the energy costs many people cannot afford.

Watching "Verified Live" on BBC News, and a former administration official was just on concerning Iran, and unlike most American media there was significant push back to the questionable claims on U.S. success in Iran.

Rather abruptly, and sadly, long-time Inland Empire mini-golf and more Fiesta Village is closing down this weekend. Opening in 1974 the most surprising thing in its history is Paul Newman's one-time association with the Colton park.

I've seen a couple questionable polls, notably McLaughlin, claiming Pratt is leading in the Los Angeles mayoral race. Do these polling firms actually poll those who live *within* the City of L.A.? Also, a lot of people discovering if you live in Burbank or Culver City you can't vote for L.A. mayor.

The L.A. mayoral election on Xitter: "I've been a democrat all my life and have always voted for a democrat. It has ruined L.A. that's why I'm voting for the reality teevee star this time. It's time to turn L.A. USA into a better place than the communist socialist place."

KNX going back exclusively to 1070 AM. After several years on 97.1 FM, which has seen a ratings increase for the all-news radio station, owner Audacy will turn the FM into an all-sports radio station. Important to note no games of local sports teams will be aired on 97.1 FM.

Duo doom-scrolling Tuesday. The apparent breakdown of U.S.-Iran talks with Veep Vance no longer going to Pakistan amid the ceasefire expiring soon. The Virginia democratic friendly gerrymander vote, which early reports and voter turnout suggest the "Yes" vote isn't doing too hot.

I wouldn't put it past this White House to think pivoting from a disastrous war with a ceasefire that appears to be buckling to reminding the country about Jeffrey Epstein was a good idea.

These mixed signals and 48-hour threat towards Iran comes amid a week of firings and proposed shake-ups in the president's cabinet and The Pentagon. Not a good projection to the world when Iran has financially the upper hand in this undeclared war.
000
Jason @jasoncrosenthal.bsky.social · 04/04/2026
Whether he serves a TACO on Sunday night, or not, it's important to note amid this latest 48-hour threat we have not seen The POTUS since Thursday, and he canceled his typical weekend stay in Mar-a-Lago remaining in Washington, D.C.
000
Jason @jasoncrosenthal.bsky.social · 04/04/2026
The latest 48-hour threat expires at 10 a.m. ET Monday, a half-hour after major U.S. financial markets open. Will he serve up another TACO on Sunday night? The brief historic record suggests he probably will back down. However, the latest threat comes amid a missing U.S. military member in Iran.

Jason @jasoncrosenthal.bsky.social · 04/04/2026
The POTUS gave another 48 hour warning to open the Strait of Hormuz, backed by a Temu Bin Laden invoking of God, threatening "Hell will reign down" on Iran. Important to note U.S./Israel airstrikes have already attacked infrastructure, including a petrochemical plant on Saturday.

The White House called "a lid" at 11 a.m. ET Saturday. That means no expected media appearances by POTUS. This comes as there still has not been a formal White House address of the missing U.S. military member in Iran amid the multiple U.S. military aircraft shot down on Friday morning.

Jason @jasoncrosenthal.bsky.social · 03/04/2026
ABC News reports The POTUS has been with the National Security Team inside The Oval Office for much of the afternoon. As well, a "lid" has been called for the day, which means The President is not expected to be out in public or make any public statements.

Jason @jasoncrosenthal.bsky.social · 03/04/2026
The POTUS told NBC News Friday afternoon "we're in war." This will certainly come as a surprise to some members of Congress as they try to recall that time they voted for war.

By the way, not all of California is required to get a smog check. Portions of Northern California, notably the Eureka area, are exempt from the emissions test.
000
Jason @jasoncrosenthal.bsky.social · 30/03/2026
A larger question outside the war's potential oil impact in California is, with a lot of hybrid cars and EVs, and cars with better emission standards, along with long meeting our pollution reduction goals, are smog checks still necessary?
100
Jason @jasoncrosenthal.bsky.social · 30/03/2026
So, in the worst case scenario, which many people and industries are now planning for, will a smog check deferment in California be necessary? If so, smog stations will lose business, and will there be a "bailout"?
010
Jason @jasoncrosenthal.bsky.social · 30/03/2026
If so, that may impact the bi-yearly smog check as gas used elsewhere in the U.S. could cause autos to fail the test. Smog stations advise if you recently filled up your car in Oregon, Nevada, Arizona or Mexico, there is a possibility your car could fail the emissions test due to the gas used.
010
Jason @jasoncrosenthal.bsky.social · 30/03/2026
Flying under the radar is "California blend" gasoline. About 20% of the blend comes from Asia. Oil shortages are now impacting Asia. If California is unable to obtain that blend then some decisions will have to be made. Do we temporarily import/use gas elsewhere in the nation?
