This is the most pleasant news I've seen on a Monday in a long time. Wow!

We are now at the point where early voting is going to end soon in some states. If you haven’t yet, get out there and cast your vote. Get that piece of mind. 😎 #midterms #earlyvoting #uspol

Just got done my first 47-minute run in over 2 years. Was going to try to push it to 50 because I was in the groove, but I decided to leave it there to prevent injuries. Let me tell ya, I have no idea why I stopped running. It's so fun. I'm slow as hell, but I enjoy every minute on the road.

Montreal cognitive assessment. That’s the answer to the biggest question of the past ten years. We all failed the test. Goodnight.

I had pumpkin spice latte for the first time ever last week. It tasted more like cinnamon spice cinnamon.

This is the first time I will have to admit AI was pretty useful. It helped find the PHP vulnerabilities and it helped patch them. For this I'm grateful. I'm not totally onboard yet, but I do admit, it's a way forward.

I’m just curious if I’m over paying for my flu shot. My rate was 4800 this year. How much did yours costs (If you are willing to volunteer that info.)

Jay :iwate: @jasohill.famichiki.jp.ap.brid.gy · 22/10/2026

Flu shot get! But it cost my wife and I 4800 yen each. That hurts more than the shot ever did. 😨💉

I'm a little sad the #dodgers lost, but it's totally not surprising. The #brewers played stellar baseball, and I just don't think a team is capable of winning three in a row anymore. It's a totally different world for pro sports and three-peets are near on impossible. But I expect the dodgers to […]

Was there ever an actual earthquake somewhere today, or was it merely the concepts of an earthquake? My adrenalin is finally down. After three hours!!

@solsetur I only ask because I have a few boxes of them that I still use for the flu and other outbreaks.

It’s starting to look like a false alarm.

Jay :iwate: @jasohill.famichiki.jp.ap.brid.gy · 16/10/2026

The way that alarm went off I was bracing for the biggest quake ever. And there’s another alarm. Nothing.

The town’s alarms blaring like it’s the end of the world, but zero shaking. I’ll take that.

I love me some Narnia. It's still one of my favorite series of books despite me being an atheist. I believe C.S. Lewis wrote some of the most amazing Sci Fi and Fantasy out there. Which has me thinking he was probably a little curious about what lies beyond the realms Christianity and even the […]

I just got confirmation that my absentee ballot was delivered to its destination this morning. I'll give them a few days to process it before I check that the ballot was counted, but I am a happy camper. I've been dealing with 100s of stink bugs at my schools recently. This year appears to be a peak year for them. Thankfully, they are harmless, goofy little guys who are easy to relocate. In fact, I find them fascinating. However, assassin bugs always seem to appear with them, and they aren't […]

Finally saw the video for Choosin' Texas, and they are right. It's truly the longest ad for Jack Daniels ever made. Now I'm feeling like a Jack and Coke.

To be fair, I haven’t heard Choosin Texas by Ella Langley yet because I live in Japan where countty music isn’t really a thing and it competes against J-Pop, K-Pop and the Carpenters. Especially the Catpenters.

I believe that the difference between world peace and constant warring is simply consent. Humans are very, very bad at consent. I would say men are especially bad at it. This might be where we really need to improve the most.

It has been just over a month since the reveal of the Mac Mini M6 and the lowest advertised price is 140,322円, down from the base price of 149,800円.
