What a jam packed weekend. Had a blast speaking with families at The Taste of Tribeca and supporting my niece’s school PS 150 and PS 234! Then off to Canvass on Grand Street. Grateful for a beautiful Sunday at SDR Park and shout out to PS 2 for joining in beautifying the park!

Crying, never. I’m born & raised in this community, he’s not. I’m a NYCHA resident, he’s not. He will never understand the housing conditions we face & why we move. Due to that, he challenged my residency & failed 3x. I have receipts, but do your due diligence before trolling my page! AI check that!

We need your support to win this race. Sign up to knock doors or make calls at www.mobilize.us/jasminforny/ or consider making a donation at secure.actblue.com/donate/jasmi.... Every door, every call, and every contribution moves us closer to victory.
Yesterday we faced another desperate stunt by Illapa Sairitupac and the DSA to silence a real community voice — and once again, they LOST.

A referee ruled in my favor.
A judge ruled in my favor.
And now an appellate court of FIVE judges ruled in my favor too.

Enough is enough.

Instead of trying to throw me off the ballot, maybe they should spend more time talking to actual families, tenants, students, and working people in our community. Because while they play political games,
we’ve been doing the real work on the ground.

I’m still here. Still on the ballot. Still fighting.

Because homegrown leadership can’t be bullied, bought, or pushed aside.

This campaign belongs to the people who built this community, stayed in this community,
and never stopped fighting for this community.

Now let’s get to work — and let’s show that real grassroots power beats political gatekeeping every single time.

people organize, build power, and demand bold change, not small, incremental reforms. I’m proud to stand alongside a movement that understands real progress is built from the ground up, neighbor by neighbor, block by block, people power over corporate power.

As a young Puerto Rican girl from the projects, it mattered to see someone who looked like me in leadership. It reminded me that our stories, our struggles, and our communities belonged in the halls of power too. Nydia’s legacy is not just one of representation, but of fighting relentlessly for

Growing up on the LES, seeing Nydia Velázquez in Congress meant something deeply personal to families like mine. From 1993-2022, she repped Lower Manhattan w/ courage, compassion, & an unwavering commitment to working people, immigrants, Boricuas, NYCHA residents, & those too often ignored by power.

Big Endorsement Alert: ✨Today, my heart is full of gratitude to receive the endorsement of Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez. My parents migrated to New York from Puerto Rico carrying little more than hope, sacrifice, & the belief that their children deserved opportunity and dignity.

On Wed, I stood w/ home care workers from the No More 24 mvmt cause no one should have to work 24 hours to survive. These workers are our neighbors & care for our most vulnerable, yet are forced into exhausting, underpaid shifts that put their health & care they provide at risk. (Full vid on IG)

Yesterday, I attended a CB3 meeting, where I spoke about concerns on the development on Madison St. Decisions about our neighborhood should never happen w/o us. As a lifelong LES resident & NYCHA tenant, I made it clear: dev must be rooted in equity not backroom decisions that leave us out.

The last few days were a reminder of what community power looks like in action. 🌱 I attended It’s My Park Day, standing alongside neighbors & vols who showed up to care for & invest in the spaces we all share. Our parks are more than green space, they’re where our community gathers, heals, & grows.

I met with Small Businesses in the district. This is first of many get togethers to create policy that works. Small businesses are not disposable. I will fight for policies that don’t just help small businesses survive but ensure they can stay, grow, and thrive in the neighborhoods they call home.

I don’t just talk about labor justice, I’ve lived it, studied it, and fought for it. As your next Assemblymember, I will work to pass statewide legislation to end 24-hour shifts, strengthen worker protections, and ensure that our care system is built on dignity not exploitation.

I am the only candidate in this race with a background in labor as a bargaining steward, someone who has stood with workers, negotiated, and organized for fair conditions on the ground. And I bring that experience into policy through my academic work at CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies.

He needs a strong partner in the State Assembly who understands how to translate local legislation into statewide law, close loopholes, and ensure that this reform is not just symbolic but real, enforceable, and funded. That’s where I come in.

Jasmin Sanchez @jasminsanchez.bsky.social · 08/04/2026
Let’s be clear: I am the only candidate in this race who has publicly supported ending the 24-hour workday for home care workers. And that matters. Because this fight isn’t just about policy it’s about having the right partners in Albany to get it done. Chris Marte cannot do this alone.
