iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I'm seeing it Sunday with a group of friends and have so far avoided any real understanding of what it is so I'm very excited to hear the (presumedly) radically divergent opinions afterwards

I keep thinking the Americans are talking about Dan Andrews today... turns out it's much worse 😭

Right??? It's hit the point where I'm kinda like "i was always like this", just photo editing tits into my memories 😂

Poor last week but I feel like Miller has been treated oddly at selection this season, felt like her and McKinnon could easily fit in the same side but the selectors clearly don't. Scotty has been unfortunately awful in their games this season - hate to see them dropped for pride round though 😭

...i literally looked this up in the process of making it (because i often get the two confused) and then got my wires crossed *again* when writing the caption 😭😅

Round 8 #AFLW #AFL scoring update: Ooft ouch owie. That was a rough one. Record rainfall in Vic + wind & rain in the rest of the SE made for the lowest scoring round since R4, 2022 (S7) (first season with 18 teams). Still, fun to see the Suns & Eagles get their first local rivalry game wins!

A spreadsheet showing the average team score in each AFLW round across the competition's history. The current season has been very high scoring, with the exception of the most recent round where the average score was 32.1.

I would not be getting bottom surgery in *checks calendar* a touch under 6 weeks (!!!) if it wasn't for all the women on here talking about it straightforwardly and honestly and without nearly as many brainworms as you see on Reddit. It made the whole process feel real and achievable and normal 🥰

Damn this sounds incredible - as someone who has been smashing 4 mandarins a week all winter I wish we had this here 😭

Yessss. I have sent the long furby pic to my friend Lord Furby, whose collection of Furbs was recently part of a museum exhibition in our city - I suspect they will be very pleased.

Thinking about all the nuzlocke forums comics/stories I used to read and how there was this one "guy" who wrote a story with incredibly elaborate lore covering like 10 different runs across many games... including, you know, one where his self insert character was a girl... I wonder how she's doing

Schedule update: The bad news is Eli has been sick, so there'll be no episode coming out tomorrow. The good news is that means instead we'll be bringing our Dracula episode out on Halloween - looking forward to getting into the spooky season with you all!

Was gonna say I assume you're close to my age (I'm 33) and that seems like a perfectly normal range that wouldn't even indicate a dedicated lifestyle choice (not that there's anything wrong with that either). It's a lot more than me but I spent my egg years freaking out instead of being gay :p

I saw this earlier and didn't think I had an appropriately influential answer but it's just hit me. Who could *possibly* say why this was so influential over my 10yo proto-transbian self.

Yeah I saw the murmurs of what was going on, went to reddit, saw a mix of what seemed like bad reading comprehension and what was definitely completely unnecessary nitpicking over canon and went... okay cool that's about what I expected. DnD Books 🤝 WH40K Books Oh The Canon? Lol and also lmao.

Coincidentally I watched this for the first time last night - agreed that the slow, thoughtful pacing was a highlight - it felt like a grand, upscaled TOS episode that luxuriated in the budget without being wasteful, and while it was by no means perfect I had a really good time.

JasBee @jasminergb.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Casino Royale, Hellboy, Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes films and Hackers can perhaps count themselves unlucky. There's a lot of Marvel and Pixar I loved as a tween into my early 20s, but I've chosen films I still think about and would pretty much always be hyped to show someone.

JasBee @jasminergb.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Once again decided to do two lists for this kind of post - this time it's split into movies that I saw for the first time as a kid vs ones I've seen as an adult. Some iconic films that hooked me on their respective genres and others that were perhaps less archetypal but still highly evocative.

Jasmine's 9 movies (child version). Jurassic Park, The Matrix, LOTR: Fellowship, The Mummy, Ocean's 11, National Treasure, District 9, Pacific Rim, V for Vendetta.

Jasmine's 9 movies (adult edition). The Prestige, The Princess Bride, Pitch Black, Scream, Get Out, Knives Out, I Saw The TV Glow, The VVitch, The Shape of Water.

That's so out of line, what the fuck. I feel like I'll probably hear similar post-op when I'm in trans circles, but it was the one guy in Melbourne or fly overseas, and the difference in support levels and comfort I have staying here are immense.

In high school we would play the first Call of Duty game at lunchtime by passing around a usb and installing it on the hard drive of every computer in the lab (it was auto wiped every session) - we had 128mb of storage available on each computer.

Round 7 #AFLW #AFL scoring update: Second highest scoring on record! Making it 5/7 rounds in the top 6 of all time. Only 4 teams averaging less than 40 ppg (9 last season, 12 in 2024). Port the big disappointment in this regard - gone from #4 (52.6 ppg) for scoring in 2025 to #15 with 34.1 ppg

Cropped screenshot of a spreadsheet showing average team scores in each round of the AFLW across time. The average score in Round 7, 2026 was 46.5, which is the second highest on record.

Nine games that made me! So uhhh i made 2 lists to avoid Pokemon dominating 😅 I really do feel like my gaming life has been alternating between Pokemon and *any other game* for the last 25 years. Crash Bandicoot a little unlucky. Clear eras for the regular list: shooters, RTS, queer :p

My 9 games: Hollow Knight, Baldur’s Gate 3, Hades, Age of Empires, Civilisation V, Dawn of War, Halo, Portal, Half Life 2

My 9 Games but only Pokemon: Red, Yellow, Silver, Crystal, Black, X, Alpha Sapphire, Shield, Scarlet.

As a "boy" I was *really fascinated* by the knowledge that my mum had picked out the name Jasmine for me "if I had been a girl" to the point where it was one of my default fun facts/icebreaker questions to people. There Were No Signs.

JasBee @jasminergb.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

This! A BIG hint for me in retrospect was that I was always very happy go lucky about the future pre-transition, but like... I'm not a happy go lucky person? I just didn't want to think about being in my 40s as a Man. Now my neurotic and anxious personality thinks about the future all the time.

JasBee @jasminergb.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Yeah it's especially weird because on the one hand I'm glad he's stepped back from it a little bit, on the other hand not as much as I personally would like, and on the third hand I assume those episodes were filmed before all of this blew up so he was in that headspace at the time? :/

Pre transition Jasmine looking awkward and dorky in an admittedly quite nice burgundy dress jacket and white collared shirt.

I'm sorry people are like this! I'll be delighted when there's more Dorley, but this is a two* cakes scenario! Also: I got my sister a copy of How To Fly and she finally read it and loved it! I was hoping she would bc she's the exact right age :p *or however many you have going right now.

Could not be more excited about Liv Wolmarans! If McDonagh is on track to break the 30 goal barrier this season, my prediction is that Wolmarans could be the first to break 40 👀 So strong overhead, more creative and agile at ground level than you'd expect and (as you and Mel discussed) a huge kick.

Egg!Rom is genuinely my favourite DS9 hc - the idea that Leeta figured it out and encouraged him to explore his gender but that he spends most of the show being like "well I can't because <x thing about Ferengi culture>" to then be directly involved in radically changing that culture for the better.

JasBee @jasminergb.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I'd imagine that narrow focus helps him with the centre right voters who don't like aspects of ALP/Greens platforms but aren't going back to the Coalition anytime soon, since they don't hear anything alarming from him. Also makes him a "safe" protest vote against the majors - perfect for Canberra!
