Such a joke the commentary can’t shut up about how amazing Courtney Lawes is on a turnover when he’s teammate blocks the would be ruckers, 40 minutes later same situation they’re calling for Earl being in the way. Same scenario, lens colors change. #SARvSAL #GetRidOfAuz

As far as the rugby at Gloucester, Chris Boyd’s influence is pretty apparent in the first two weeks. I mean that in the most positive way possible. #GLOvHAR

Man it’s so sad to see Ed Slater. The work his foundation is doing is incredible, and still it’s so hard to see him now.

Still having a hard time fathoming how Kirifi continues to get skipped over for the ABs but there’s still plenty of room for a certain piece of garbage that hasn’t suited up for them in years. I think Rens is already losing it.

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

James playing like he’s still young, stupid and talented. Great break to get his team in position, totally boneheaded carry to turn the ball over. #EXEvGLO

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Gulley, you’re still down two scores, chill dude. #EXEvGLO

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Who is picking these POTM contenders? IFW has either done something wrong or been a ghost to this point. Varney or Skinner are more notable than him today. #EXEvGLO

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Unconvinced that pass that put Slade threw was clean. Exeter still found a way to bottle it though so justice.

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Harry Wilson showing what Sarries let him walk. Can’t handle the ball worth a damn.

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Roots illegally pulls a maul down and gets away with it right in front of Carley. He should go play the lottery. Very lucky. #EXEvGLO

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Karma, Exeter fans start that racist shit and they give away a penalty 🤣 #EXEvGLO

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

A half doesn’t make a CV, still IFW is not doing his England stock any good thus far.

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Exeter being Exeter with that hit off the ball from Hammersley. #EXEvGLO

It is THAT time of year once again. It is the first of many editions for some FREE BAD ADVICE from #TFRY. Mostly solo work from @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social this week, but we’re sure @grumpyoldprop.bsky.social has a thought or two as well.

Before we get into Start or Sit, we need to mention how much fun was had by @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social and our friend @fantasyrugbygeek.bsky.social had yesterday recording their draft on #DraftXV for the coveted Champion-Yanks League.

112

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Lack of consistency is what makes players annoyed at officials, Nika is the picture of that, especially at scrum time.

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Boks supporters might want to consider what they are bitching about. If that’s not a try it’s a second yellow 🟨 and a red🟥 for SFM

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Non ABs and Boks note/question. Does anyone with a platform here in the states want to ask hard questions of people in U.S. rugby, maybe not let them go off topic or dodge it, or are we going to just always take answer as is? (Because that’s really gone well over the last 10-12 years)

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

ABs going with two actual back rowers should help today. Boks no longer messing with mind games might actually help them focus on the rugby. Should make for a fun one here.

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Back to a two score game, Boks still well in control. Good ball work from the ABs there though.

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

If the pace and rhythm of this game do not change in the next 20, Boks will cruise, no problem.

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

SAFA commentary whinging about things that aren’t there 😂

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

That card for Carreras is the exact reason why the “hit up” technique going around is fucking stupid. Yes hit up so that way when players are tired they can turn penalties into yellows 🟨 and yellows into red 🟥

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

The rugby community shitting on football ⚽️ is so short sighted. Considering we are a sport that constantly has teams going under 📉, trying to turn fans of the biggest sport in the world sounds like a brilliant plan to bring I more fans😵‍💫

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 13/06/2026

Not sure how Ridley continues to get big matches. He gets the big decisions wrong way too often. Example: That’s not a card, there’s no line break on. Pen only at worse.

Hello Rugby Fam, Some of you may have noticed that Ben and I have been a bit more, passive shall we say, in our presence for the rugby world lately. Well, we did try to explain this on the most recent episode of the Pod, a while ago, but I think the audio was jumbled to say the least.

Let’s be clear, this Ireland team is not that good. England made them look like World Cup finalists…not much more needs to be said about the situation at rugby HQ does it?

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 21/02/2026

Common denominator for all the tactical issues and players turning in bad performances over the last game and a half (plus more)…it’s Borthwick. Nothing gets fixed for England men until he’s gone. Not like RFU are known for making decisions in a timely sort of manner or evolving with the times 🙄

Maybe one day, Wales will figure out Adam Beard is as useless as he is. He’s a warm body and a helmet, about it.

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 15/02/2026

Many teams would choose a set piece (lineout) over a line break. The list of teams that would prefer a yellow over a line break is a lot shorter.

000

Jarrod of TFRY @jarrodoftfry.bsky.social · 15/02/2026

If you understand the risk reward with this, not sure why the two results are “too far apart” for you. The law is there to stifle negative play so talentless idiots don’t just stick a hand out there and claim they were going for an intercept.
