$3 m cap still applies (30% tax over $3 m balances instead of standard 15%) - but will be indexed with inflation; lines up with other super caps (eg contribution caps etc). $10 m (indexed) cap is new - 40% on earnings above that. All in all, a decent compromise www.abc.net.au/news/2025-10...

Sacre bleu! (Spare a thought for my native Australia - mind, had a 'conservative' anti-EV government for a decade up to 2022, so bit of catching up to do)

Australia doesn't have an auto industry. But the country's broadly on track for 82% RE by 2030. And it's one of the best-placed countries to reap the opportunities of decarbonisation explore.openelectricity.org.au/energy/nem/?... archive.budget.gov.au/2024-25/fact... arena.gov.au/funding/futu...

Speaking of informalities, any idea what these apparent 'blank' boxes were in the Senate ballot? (Kooyong electorate, Vic) Know what happens if that's checked with an otherwise 'valid' selection?

Also worth noting Teals are generally to the right of Labor on most things (as they point out themself); absolutely, better than the Libs, but that's not saying heaps. And not sure Greens have much of a track record over the last decade or so of achieving much, and often hindering progress, imho

Not wrong. But Straya's still doing better than almost every other county. Wealth distribution's about the same as 2000, and below others. One of the best retirement systems. Among highest median wealth, even excluding property. Among highest life expectancies. And one of the most robust democracies
