Saw Equal Justice Initiative’s The Legacy of Slavery exhibit. It traced a line from the transatlantic slave trade to mass incarceration today. The takeaway: how mundane & systemic the machinery of slavery was, and how directly that legacy shapes the world we live in today.

✨Wrapping up an amazing week with MUARG and the BSG. Despite the heat, being with scholars doing brilliant critical gerontological work was exactly the fresh air I needed. Loved meeting new researchers and catching up with colleagues who inspire me every time I read their work or hear them speak.
