If you want something to last online you really need to host it yourself.

We had this last year. In the end all my traps and poisons were ineffective but the rat died in a hilarious accident. I now wish I'd got an expert in much earlier.

You could also try Fjallraven's Greenland Wax, which comes in a bar you rub over the cloth so you can put on more or less as you please. It works well on their fine-textured fabrics, no idea what it would do on the Carhartts but I'd be interested to hear.

Are you saying that they want to inflate the bubble more slowly so as to garner more cash before it pops? I can't believe you're so rude.

Oh! A healthy crop of new ones down by the river. Just not on the upper slopes of the park.

Not to get too Freudian, but maybe they need a superego?

This is great. And it makes me wonder if some of their current problems (eg, egregious lawbreaking) happen because some of the organs they need are still missing.

In related (sad) news, I've seen a couple of dead moles recently, I wonder if they've been driven above ground by drought.

Quite. Plus they missed the opportunity to call it 'Tarnished Speculum' which would at least be a little bit horrific.

Silicon flexures? That sounds properly crazypants. Is this coming from MEMS manufacturing techniques? I also note that the second one is plainly written by Hubert Shenanigans.

You'd imagine that a set of rules that control the spending of such a vast some of money would be the result of a very careful and analytical process designed to produce a desired kind of outcome. Wouldn't you?

Remember when PFIs were a "good deal" because (although they were much more expensive overall) they didn't technically count as borrowing? I think there are some really dumb but implacable accounting rules in place in government. Someone should fix that.

I am not an economist but maybe part of the answer is cashflow? You can turn cash into an asset but you still need to have the cash in hand first.
