Nursing Shortage Fact Sheet from the American Association of Colleges of Nursing:
The U.S. is projected to experience a shortage of Registered Nurses (RNs) that is expected to intensify as Baby Boomers age and the need for health care grows. Compounding the problem is the fact that nursing schools across the country are struggling to expand capacity to meet the rising demand for care. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) is working with schools, policy makers, nursing organizations, and the media to bring attention to this healthcare concern. AACN is leveraging its resources to shape legislation, identify strategies, and form collaborations to address the shortage.

Publisher's Lunch article explains that Mark Zuckerberg and every executive at Meta was aware of and approved pirating published books to train Meta's AI. The current context is relevant as Meta has unleashed (and retracted, for now) its AI bots as real users with profiles across Instagram and Facebook (possibly WhatsApp also, but inconclusive evidence so far). As a result, many users are fleeing to Bluesky and other social media platforms.

Made a cinnamon roll cheesecake for my cinnamon roll husband. It's a late bday gift. He's lucky I love him because I had never heard of water bathing a dessert before this, and let me tell you, it's very close to not being worth it. But it's sssooo good y'all 🎂
