This was my very first book of 2025, and it was absolutely EVERYTHING I could've hoped for and so much more! Gothic magical realism mixed with a deeply emotional trail of trauma healing and shame shedded. A beautifully disturbing read with a true beating heart at its center.

As a Biblophile nerd, I love nothing more than immerse myself in a myriad books of different genres, especially when said book is written by an author elevating the voice of the Diné and their shared history.
