The expensive mineral sunscreen I bought at home is not doing a good job here in the sun. (It was fine at home). So I have been out and bought an entirely different expensive sunscreen which *fingers crossed* seems to be much better for my cursed pale skin. 🏖️💕

This weekend I have fallen down a hole with one of my interstitials in the story. I'm not happy with it at all as it's doing nothing to progress anything - nothing has changed at the end of it. Got a few ideas to think about, but the recycle bin beckons. #writingcommunity

I think I understand my biggest issue with writing now. Not trusting the reader enough. I don’t need to hold their hand all the time. A lot of what I’ve been cutting is unnecessary for the story *and* for the reader. #writingcommunity

The last few days have been a whirlwind of writing. Not so much in word count. I have cut an awful lot! But great in terms of structure. I’ve combined another two chapters, so now we end on the chapter that was between those two, and it works so much better! Now to read it again 💕 #writingcommunity

A few hundred words inserted, which I hope are doing some work to better resolve things. My story isn’t structured in quite the usual way, but I never wanted it to be Act 1, 2, 3. And this is one of the problems to solve. Then again, who says it has to be like that? 😂

A little deflated after going back to my book. I think I need to do a fair bit of surgery after a period away from it. Too many things have caught my attention as needing work. Happy at the same time though, as I don’t want to let it go until it’s perfect. And these things take time.
