Interesting, he might be more well-known in Germany. There was a super popular German film series in the 60s that my parents talked about a lot, and 20 years ago there was a successful pair of parody films Der Wixxer (The Wankker) whose whole deal was being an Edgar Wallace parody.

Ja, das kann sehr leicht passieren. Selbst ohne Rätsel-vs-Puzzle-Nuancen ist ja schon sehr unklar, was man unter "Rätsel" versteht, und kann für unterschiedliche Personen sehr unterschiedlich sein.

Vielen Dank, tolle Folge! Mir ist nie in den Sinn gekommen, dass "Rätsel" und "Puzzle" für manche unterschiedliche Bedeutungen haben (im Kontext von Spielmechaniken). Für mich ist "puzzle" einfach "Rätsel" in Englisch. Im Deutschen wird "Puzzle" ja auch im Sinne von "jigsaw puzzle" benutzt.
