5/ To find out about the code sharing policies of our 478 journals, we checked #TOPFactorDatabase and journal webpages, and conducted a survey among >90 editors. Code‐sharing policies are on the rise in economics and other disciplines: More and more journals mandate code sharing.

4/ Good news: Code sharing has increased dramatically since the early 2010s. By 2021, **17.8% of studies** provided replication code. Technological advances, journal policies, and researcher awareness are likely to drive this change. 📈
