jankitty.bsky.social @jankitty.bsky.social · 08/10/2026@britishspiders.bsky.social I've been trying to get a video of this all week... she's on the outside of my conservatory door, but the video is from the inside where I can see her tucked away by her large Orb web. I love the feather decoration 😍 041
jankitty.bsky.social @jankitty.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Hi G. Can you enlighten me please. I have black aphids on dahlias which are being protected by ants, but my question is; do they scent mark them, as I just put a few aphids on an Orb Weave spiders web and she rushed to them and retreated fast. Presumably not palatable? @georgemcgavin.bsky.social 100
jankitty.bsky.social @jankitty.bsky.social · 06/10/2026This was a challenge @britishspiders.bsky.social 3 days running, this spider put a main thread on my garden swing cover, which I tried to move... disaster. So I put up a couple of my own string lines and YAY, she used that to secure her web, so now we can both happily sit on the swing again 😍 142
jankitty.bsky.social @jankitty.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Interesting what you can find dangling on the end of a thread whilst having coffee... Poss a Winter Moth caterpillar or similar ??? @georgemcgavin.bsky.social 000
