Look! The Green candidate is in my ends this morning and canvassing on my route-to-buy-a-paper. Generally the only person I encounter at 10am on Saturday is Gareth from no 33 washing his car so I feel alive with democracy

Is there any such thing left as the British national identity? Well David, if there is, it's a self-policed hour-long queue to get a picture on Mount Snowdon and a massive row kicking off when someone jumps it
People are queuing for an hour on Mt Snowdon to get a picture and then there's a row when some people jump the queue

In the Daily Mail, AN Wilson is responding with fury to a Banksy statue from April. I thought for a second the Mail was revealing Banksy's identity for the fifth time, but it's just breaking fury.

Again. Someone has dug up this sapling and nicked it. And an arboreal expert says it's worth a fortune. How do you authenticate a sapling? How do you trace one? Hear me out. A reboot of Oceans Eleven but trees? I'm thinking Jacob Elordi and Bill Patterson but that's just off the top of my head
