I am so isolated, and I hate it, but at the same time, it is so hard to trust people. I really wish I had the kind of close inner circle that I see others have. Maybe I do and just don’t see it because my brain is being mean.

So I never feel like I’m ‘enough’, but I have been frequently told that I’m too much. I grew up being told that I was not black enough, being called an ‘Oreo’ or ‘white’, and this was from family. Nothing will take my blackness away, but I’ve always been treated like I am missing something.
