IP holders for unique and new games/systems and the overall bloat to D&D that really can harm the space. Imo yes. TLDR: The companies can make the right business choice and it still not be great for the rest of it.

Garrett @jangle-gr.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

Similar struggles appear in the Video gaming space as certain IP bucket games eat up playtime and space leaving the investment from those IP into their own new developments lacking. So, death of TTRPGs? No. An unhealthy trend that I think will reinforce less investment into the space from

Avatar as an example. If they pull that for D&D the pool of people who are likely to play the Avatar TTRPG go down because ‘they can just play D&D version’ Small indie ttrpg scene will be fine ultimately. But I really think it has a strong potential to clear the middle space.

more from FFG’s SW system. I don’t worry about small indies. I worry about the middle ground. Hasbro wants (and has wanted) playing TTRPGs to just be playing D&D. I think crossover content reinforces that in a worse way for nearly everyone. Looking at Magic with something like

Garrett @jangle-gr.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

I very much understand the business reasons from Hasbro x whatever company (SW is not the first or last). Doesn’t mean I think that’s good or correct. A d20 system is not D&D. Not to mention the other types of systems. EDGE didn’t lose the license but to me this signals SW isn’t wanting

Garrett @jangle-gr.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

Not to be doom and gloom but Wizards shifting D&D to crossover content is bad for all of ttrpg space. It makes D&D worse and it makes property holders less likely to invest in new unique systems for their IP. Not to mention D&D players even less likely to branch out.

Ninve has a wonderful Wife in Kisa. A strange loving pining for a close relationship of his but the terms are an nebulous as the two in Syldhwen. Otherwise he’s maybe for the first time in a long time not looking for more, but he’ll never say no when it comes. That’s his burden in life.

For small healing on people he can help very cold and comforting. Kind of like being near the window of a snowy cabin. But for big healing it’s almost like having your body machine printed in real time. You feel the tissue being made before it’s fully done. Sucks big time. Though no lingering pain

Kisa is a walking ice pack, her healing magicks calm, cool and soothing but can hurt a little if left on too long. Y'naerith's method of healing is pouring salt water onto the wound. Works every time (for her). #kisa #ynaerith #oclore
