I scream every time I hear Trump say "No tax on tips!" like it's a gift from above. If you were making $70K and having to fork over, say, $5K in taxes, but with the current economy, you're down to $40K with no tax. Are you even ahead?

In 1987, I read an article about Anatoly Marchenko. He was a Soviet dissident who died at 55 of broken health after spending nearly all of his adult life in gulag prisons. The author said that, in Soviet Russia, people learned to edit their speech and curtail actions. 1/2
