The National Museum of the American Indian esp the gallery on Treaties - later “bad paper” - tells an extraordinary story of conquest, expropriation & assimilation (aka ‘civilisation’). Sound familiar? Also noteworthy that Andrew Jackson’s parents were “Ulster Scots” who left Ireland in 1765.
