Next up - I was lying under the trees behind our house where we’ve buried the ashes of the horse and pony we’ve had cremated and a robin was hollering above me. I was thinking about how birds have been seen as messengers in a lot of cultures and I thought maybe she wanted to take a message for me.

I'm working on a new project and slightly different direction in my work and I haven't updated any of it over here. Here's the first one I completed a few months ago - gouache and colored pencil on hot press watercolor paper. #natureart #deer #drawing #surrealart #art

You guys don’t need to try to convince me that any form of AI has merit. It doesn’t. It is boring and half-assed. I am fine getting by with human brain power. If the world nears its end and AI has one hater left, good news! I am still alive.

Hello again #portfolioday! I’m Janelle, an independent artist living near Seattle and my work is focused on the relationship between humans and the natural world, mixed with themes from fairy tales and my childhood. I posted digital work last time, here’s some colored pencil! www.janellelile.com

Open AI using Ghibli’s signature works to train their models while blatantly exploiting Ghibli’s brand name without Ghibli’s permission? Yeah I hope Open AI faces steep legal consequences for this affront on everything Miyazaki’s iconic work stands for.

Kingfisher Fine and sterling silver, 24k gold The gold work is done through the keum-boo process. Using hand tools carved from agate over a small open topped kiln. Through this the gold becomes fused on a molecular level to the fine silver. #kingfisher #metalsmith #silversmith #blackrabbitstudio

Several layers of very fine and tiny 24k gold pieces are fused together to create the texture and various shades seen here in the gold areas of the piece.
