Sign the petition to demand justice for Hickory Ground and the return of the ancestors from plastic bins at Auburn University. Every signature strengthens the demand to protect sacred sites and honor ancestors. www.justiceforhickoryground.com/petition

Hickory Ground, or Oce Vpofv, is a historic Muscogee (Creek) Nation tribal capital and state-registered archeological site on the National Register of Historic Places located in Wetumpka, Alabama. This culturally and religiously significant site includes a ceremonial ground, council house, plaza, and ancestral burial grounds containing funerary objects.

Justice for Hickory Ground is essential to rectify the injustices committed against the Muscogee (Creek) people and their ancestral lands. The desecration of this site for commercial gain, withour the consent of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation or thr Hickory Ground tribal town, represents a profpund violation of their cultural and spiritual heritage.

Achieving justice for Hickory Ground requires holding those responsible accountable, restoring the site's sanctity, and returning all remains and artifacts to their rightful resting placed. This will reinforce the importance of respecting Indigenous rights and protecting sacred lands from future exploitation.

From a hike a couple of weeks ago on a trail called Stone Cut. I literally felt like I was being held by moss and stones. #moss

We're teaming up with @altrac.works to combat AL HB4 (2025), which seeks to criminalize gender nonconformity and force library workers to censor trans and GNC materials and patrons. Please visit altrac.works and help us fight this and other transphobic legislation.

Transcript: Tell Your Reps! We won't stand for criminalizing librarians, the LGBTQ+ community, or the Right to Read! Vote No on HB4. Joint campaign of At the Root Collective and the Alabama Transgender Rights Action Coaltion, altrac.works.

After a few days of rain, even the moss is happy to feel the sunshine!

Focus is in a large limestone to k covered in moss for most of the left hand side of the picture. There is blue sky and tree branches in the background on the right side of the image.

Limestone rock covered in happy and nourished moss that is just feeling the sunshine after days of rain, some of it hanging. You can see blue sky and trees branches in the top 1/4 of the image
