Ahoy Bluskees boaters and birdwatchers. Cosmo has a new friend named Ossie. Ossie is a pescatarian. He is an osprey on the crow’s nest who surveys the bay for fish from his high perch and before they even know it Ossie dives in and snags them and takes them home for his family. We love Ossie.

The tennis ball dogs sent Cosmo a new ball today. It was bobbing in the bay. Who knows where it comes from or who owned it but it’s Cosmo’s new favorite thing. And it’s red. Yay.

Ships are backed up for miles, the market’s got the zoomies and the dogs of war are back off their leashes and biting anything that moves. Crazy as a sack full of rabid squirrels.

Ahoy Bluskees Jan 26 is Australia Day (invasion day to the indigenous people) celebrating the arrival of the first fleet of convicts in 1788. Bit different from America’s Pilgrims. Cosmo spent some time Down Under as an extra on Croc Dundee and a comfort animal for dame Edna. Goodonyas Ozzies.

Cosmo the shaggy dog wears a colorful Orange floral kimono from the house of Gunston, oodles of jewels, a pair of psychedelic sunglasses (a gift from Michael Hutchence) and an Argyle diamond tiara in his Mauve hair. About to board the tour bus for the Dame Edna Everage “has anyone seen my Scnauzer Down Under extravaganza.” Cosmo’s official title was “comfort animal” but in reality was so much more. Just off camera Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts are laughing uncontrollably at a joke Cosmo told the photographer that ends with the punchline something about there’s only ONE goat.

Cosmo the shaggy dog wears an Akubra a leather jacket and holds a big stick. Cosmo spent his early years as an actor and had the privilege of working with Paul Hogan on crocodile Dundee and gave him an idea for one of the funnier scenes in the movie. At the end of filming the crew would throw sticks for Cosmo to chase and Cosmo’s response: “that’s not a stick. THIS is a stick.” And everyone fell around laughing.
