The Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures (3/5) Not a bad platformer but it feels like it’s held back by some seemingly purposefully poor design decisions for the sake of referencing older games and bad ones that James has covered. Also The Nerd’s commentary is less funny without VA imo.

Halloween (Rewatch) (3/5) I can give this one a bit of slack considering its age but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed in some aspects. Like you can’t even hear the characters scream during half the kills, a lot of them just feel goofy in the way that they’re presented. Still fun but eh.

9 (3/5) Rough pacing throughout but it’s brought back up by the incredible animation and world building. Voice acting ain’t half bad either. I do wish it leaned a bit more into the horror elements rather than the action but that’s a personal thing. For what it is, it’s pretty good!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder’s Revenge (Replay) (4/5) Really fun beat-em-up with a lot of different and fun playable characters! Was also my first time beating it in multiplayer and I really enjoyed it! Give it a shot if you haven’t already!

Labyrinth (2/5) Insanely good looking set design and characters and a few bits of good music, but I got like nothing out of this movie otherwise. Really struggled with keeping my attention on this one.

Split Fiction (3/5) Really fun gameplay and a lot of variety, plus some creative uses of the scenario, but not crazy about the writing and there are some bits that are a bit confusing. Still recommend it but yeah I got some issues with it there.

Promare (4/5) A bit unoriginal at points and pretty fast paced, but the animation is insanely good and is, in Trigger fashion, literally hype moments and aura the movie and it’s awesome.

Undertale The Determination Symphony World Tour (4/5) A few technical issues and also for me the video feed was kinda cut off due to where I was sitting but otherwise it was really great!

The Gmod Stream (4/5) Made me cry really hard so I think it did its job. A bit too many moments where it felt like they were kinda just playing Gmod and not much was happening, and that did get a tad boring, but it was still really good otherwise. Link: youtu.be/xYs2NtCOScs

The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie (Rewatch) (4/5) Fantastic animation and a really solid comedic tone throughout. Does a great job at adapting these characters for a feature length film on their own. Only major issue really is that most of the original character designs look boring.

Related but I do know there’s the recent Collector’s Vault series, which has three volumes and I believe less shorts so far than the Golden Collection, but at Blu-Ray quality. If anyone has experience with these I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Home On The Range (2/5) Dreadfully boring with only a few decent gags and fantastic animation keeping it up. As a cow myself I feel offended by this movie.

Orbitals (4/5) A bit fast short and hard to keep up with the story, plus a few minor glitches, but it really does feel like a playable OVA and it’s a fantastic time. Very short admittedly but it’s a blast the whole way through.

Really tempted to pick up the Looney Tunes Golden Collection Box set. It’s $60 on Amazon and it’s been something I’ve been eyeing for a while.

Coyote Vs Acme (4/5) Genuinely please go see this movie. It’s an absolutely delightful comedy. Lots of really good gags all over, plus fantastic animation and a solid plot. This movie was worth the effort it took to get released, even if it shouldn’t have gone through all of that in the first place.

Okay I don’t like talking negatives for too long like that last thread. I mentioned recently I got my hands on a PSP, and I really like that system! Here’s my current game lineup, if anyone has suggestions (affordable ones preferably) I’d love to hear them!

I remember as a kid we picked up some of THESE bad boys from a garage sale. I don’t think it was this exact set but it definitely had these older styles of figures. These look like Playmobil guys.

Old Lego family set from before Minifigures were a thing.

120

Jane @janecallback.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

Yeah although admittedly I kinda prefer the Lego Minifigures over the K’Nex ones. The latter is more accurate but it makes the liberties that they do have to take (mainly the hands and legs) stick out way more.

120

Jane @janecallback.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

Funnily enough that’s been a consistent design Lego’s used for a while now, as this Yoshi set also used it. I guess houses make really good Lego set ideas in general and idk of any other houses that Mario has had.

010

Jane @janecallback.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

Yeah I will say Cow looks… interesting. I understand why they maybe didn’t wanna do a full Minifigure of a generic enemy they probably wouldn’t get much use out of, but still they do look very silly. I kinda like it though.

Nimrods (2/5) This movie was kinda dog shit. It had a few kinda sweet moments but it was kinda just unfunny and felt a bit too long for what it was. Acting direction and script were pretty poor too. Also Mckenna Grace is only in this for like 20 minutes why is she on the poster with the main cast?

Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story (1/5) Got a PSP recently and all I have currently to use it with are sports games and a UMD video copy of this. I’m sorry but this was insanely boring and a few somewhat funny gags couldn’t bring this up. I was just bored out of my mind.

The Odyssey (4/5) Really enjoyed it, love me some Greek mythology and I thought it was really well put together! Only major issue is that the dialogue was really hard to hear the dialogue, which I kind of have as an issue consistently with Nolan’s films. Still though really solid!

Tony (4/5) Saw this at a mystery movie night at Regal, fantastic film honestly. Does a really good job showing the guy’s growth, although personally I did feel the ending was a tad rushed through. Really funny as well, cast was great with the delivery.

Splatoon Raiders (4/5) A bit repetitive with the level design and mission structure at points, but it’s all really fun. This is the most I’ve really ever enjoyed a Splatoon game personally, and I really hope they do more games like this. Plus the cast is really fun and adorable too.

Spider-Man Brand New Day (4/5) Easily the best of the MCU Spider-Man films. Took itself more seriously without losing the charm of Spider-Man as a character, and I actually thought the extended Marvel cast brought in for the most part actually did a great job being integrated here. Really good time!

Toy Story 5 (2/5) So like I did have a good time with this movie but there is way too much going on. The Buzz clone stuff had potential but they did very little with it, and Woody did basically nothing the whole movie. But the Jessie stuff was good and I did like the new side characters. Eh.
