i lied. the comic series is a go, just gotta write it and be prepared to understand that these things just take time. lots of time. but i feel much more prepared now. for now, enjoy all these renders of revealed and unrevealed characters. #starside #scifi #comic #comicseries #digitalart

had to watch a video on the enviromental situation two years ago, and now really really hate the abuse and overuse of AI.

WHY WHY WHY IS HIS HAIR A SHADE DARKER THAN HIS SKIN THIS IS MAKING THE ARTISTIC PROCESS OF PAPER CRAFT FAR HARDER THAN IT SHOULD BE

Joss @janakey07.bsky.social · 24/01/2026

CORRECTION MERCH DOES EXIST PLEASE SUPPORT THE SERIES I JUST WANTED TO MAKE PAPER PEOPLE

000

Joss @janakey07.bsky.social · 24/01/2026

Brolly is being worked on, but his hair is being a huge pain and he is bigger than intended. he will be finished at some point.

Joss @janakey07.bsky.social · 24/01/2026

When you fw the new series but they havent released any merch yet and also you live in australia and shipping costs an arm and a leg and you randomly remember you have skills in paper crafts #thefruitlessquestofnabiu #nabiu #karoto #tfqon #fruitlessquest #paper #origami #craft #papercraft

Hey guys so i have been thinking, and i have realized that i probably wont ever finish any of my comics, simply due to the fact that i dont enjoy doing it as much as i enjoy other things. Whilst you may still see art of these characters, i will probably shift my focus to other things.

Joss @janakey07.bsky.social · 30/11/2025

who knew easy to draw characters would be fun

worked out all the kinks, enjoy this artwork of the new comic characters (at least the first half of em) also, first ever artwork of these guy's father! he was planned from the start but his design was not... #art #artist #digitalart #comic #comicart

Good news! I will likely continue this comic, although i will employ much better planning methods. I will pick it up from the current place, working to get the first book done. what will likely happen is that i will switch between working on starside and Dragons Are Real #art #digitalArt #comic

Hey so I'm prob gonna scrap the current comic as it's just not working the way I want it to. Instead, I'm going to focus on developing the characters and their motivations. And I'll prob show off all that meteor art I've been making (name change is likely in order tho)

000

Joss @janakey07.bsky.social · 19/10/2025

I love my traumatised ship engineer Marvin anyway to cont my talk about the comic, basically id hit a wall plot wise, as i wasnt being very smart about the writing. Yes these first two look the same. Tammy will prob be the only change actually. I might even just change the comic itself. #starside

Joss @janakey07.bsky.social · 19/10/2025

So i finally figured out what was off about the plot of StarSide. Id never really worked out the reason they were traveling space and why they had no real alliance with any one side. i think i finally found a reason. and its bloomin obvious. they are space pirates. Here is Aroura's redesign.
