When I started painting minis, I started by using P3 paints (2019). I didnt know what I was doing, but I loved p3's consistency. I learned a ton from p3 before switching to citadel paints. That said, I'm SO looking forward to getting these new paints! I plan on using it to paint my mega gargants.

For spending only a month on it, using mostly the GW introductory paint set, Im happy it got that far!

Trying out over brushing, which is setting a color tone 1st then layering over it. Went w/ an macraage blue for my primer, then drybrushed teals until I got a nice gradient. Some parts of the model are a little rough, but these are infantry units & not centerpieces so no biggie #warhammer #40k #tau

Building a #TauEmpire army and decided that blue is the way to go. Tested on some bits first and liked what I saw! For the armor, I used John Blanche's The Darkness (base), Shadow Thorn (layer), Dewpath (Edge), Skyshard (dot). For Helm, Embervail (base), Moonbeam yellow (edge), Sunpetal (dot)

Worked in some khorne daemon prince armor yesterday. I got a little experimental with the gun metal portion of the armor. Army Painter's Heavy Metal is dark, but I wanted it darker. So I washed it over with grim black speedpaint. Then highlighted it back up with HM and shining silver.

I love how customizable the haranir are. That said, I felt their zone storyline was a very "sneeze and you'll miss it" experience. For most of it, I had my vol off, so I missed a lot of voices dialogue. The plan was to turn it on when the story ramped up but it was over before I knew it. #warcraft
