Making some progress on the comic! Starting off with some thumbnails to get a rough sense of the panel timing and colors.

Quick colored roughs of a comic. There’s a character on a beach with some crabs in front of a lighthouse, but you can’t tell what’s going on yet cause there’s no text and it’s all sketchy

One bonkers feature is that you can actually pose the hands with a webcam!

Modeled/Textured and generated a rudimentary rig for my own #ClipStudio drawing mannequin! I really wanted something that was the exact proportion of my comic character. Hoping to create a custom rig on the next pass, and get the other two main characters in now that I understand the process. #3dart

Whoever made this stinks on ice! Our 6 year old is reading at a level well beyond her years because of many of the books on this list. Honestly, this Cat Kid comic club story should be required reading it's so powerful.

I have long prayed for a book accurate lost world! Levine as a whole character getting cut, Dodgson plot stealin eggs...Malcom high on morphine. Someone please 🙏

Forget the Torino scale, I wanna know it's Totino scale! Are we talking triple cheese??

My 5 year old is still obsessed with this beautiful beast and their journey. She says "is the hog getting any bigger?" And "would he ever shrink if someone does not follow?"

Made my own Miro for my personal comic project. Current compilation of character and environment sketches (not seen: a web of messy stickynotes where I'm working out the plot lolol)

Screenshot of a miro board containing images of several characters and environments done in a cartoony style.

More vis dev for the comic idea! Currently compiling sketches and ideas on a board to figure it out. Some characters came together quickly! These are the Sea Serpent twins Lorelay and Zelos (names tbd)

Help! Every time I try to write a story I fall in love with the side characters, and get bored with the lead…

Big props to the team that worked on rendering the character surfaces in Dream Productions, cause me and my daughter can't stop talking about how we wanna eat these sparkly Lil' jellybeans and theorizing what flavor they all would be XD

One of the thing that really helped me was getting a paper-like screen protector for the iPad and a pen tip that had some resistance. That way it feels more like a sketch pad and way less slidey and strange. Turns my procreate into microns and watercolors!

also worth a shoutout to the #StorySprint classes and the @radsechrist.bsky.social radhowto anatomy series, because I finally feel like years of these lessons are finally clicking.

Recent studies where I trolled around on Pinterest for poses and then applied them to a single character. Also been taking a wonderful #schoolism course on gesture drawing (Alex Woo) every morning instead of consuming any news and it’s been awesome :)

Bunch of sketches of a cartoony character in various poses. Sitting/leaning/reading attempting to convey a mood or action

Started a new lunch exercise instead of watching the news. I call it Pinterest Practice, where I just pull up Pinterest alongside procreate and draw from whatever photos it serves up.
