what I love about this golden shell unearthed in Romania is that it shows how in 800CE people in this region had detailed knowledge of nautilus, an animal that lives almost 10,000 kilometers away in the warm waters of southeast Asia 🧪

A perfectly made golden nautilus, with a few dints and bumps but otherwise in amazing condition.

#kagurabachi66 does Hiruhiko know that Chihiro's alive? Like either Toto or Kuguri must have informed him, but if it got lost in communication, then him and Chihiro meeting at the Bloodshed hotel. could be very fun

Re: new Kagurabachi chapter I don't think that "observation powers" are necessary a genetic thing that Chihiro inherited from his dad, observation is a skill that he clearly has cultivated (he was literally homeschooled with his dad! it's not like he had much else to focus on in his first 15 years)

realizing not everyone else in the audience sees the hexcore as a totem intrinsically linked to jayce's dream... guys we actually see jayce mentally activating the rune matrix in s1act1 while viktor watches and that is actually when we go 4 seconds back in time for the first time in the show too

smoothing their edges and erasing their imperfections. A past when they never met and never made all those mistakes, is not a part where they can be themselves, or be loved

020

Jam🔞 @jamhadar.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

I find it also thematically fitting. If Mage!Victor had changed the series of events by not saving Jayce, erasing their story together, the highs and lows and moments of resentment and ruptures, it wouldn't be different from what the Herald was doing to his followers

110

Jam🔞 @jamhadar.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

but if you read it as coming from a place of a slightly unhealthy and suffering love, then it makes more sense as a decision, fixes the plot-hole of why Victor couldn't find an easier solution

110

Jam🔞 @jamhadar.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

It feels disingenuous to me when people say their relationship is meant to be read as friends or "so complex is beyond labels", because people don't doom countless timelines just so their good friend might say the right words at the right time

131

Jam🔞 @jamhadar.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

Him saving Jayce, entrusting him with the rune, laying the path to their future meeting and collaboration, it reeks of the selfishness and single-focus that comes with romantic love. All so that only Jayce has the tools to turn him into the Herald (and bring him back)

120

Jam🔞 @jamhadar.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

Given that Viktor IS established as someone that does care for the bigger picture, whose principles revolve around ensuring a better future for society, it does stand out that in this case he is putting Jayce before that

120

Jam🔞 @jamhadar.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

if he really just wanted to undo his mistakes and save people from himself, he could have just let baby jayce die in that storm and avoided the creation of hextech all together. Sacrifice someone he cared for, for the greater good.

110

Jam🔞 @jamhadar.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

one of the elements that makes me read jayvik as romantic beyond just fun shipping and more "this is the way the story makes most sense" is Mage!Viktor's decision to go back in time and save Jayce and his mom. When he could have. not done that. And prevented the apocalypse

here's a little self indulgent piece #art #arcane

$an illustration of jayce and viktor from arcane. viktor stands in the center, still wholly human, but distorting and melting into various sections of the illustration. overlaying him are several rectangles, inside of which are parts of viktor as the machine herald and a single, half burnt frame of jayce's face within. inside the rectangle above his torso, is viktor's bloodied hand and a depiction of a torn up chest, exposing tangled wires, fractured metal and tiny, floating silhouettes of jayce and viktor after their discovery of hextech. blood and purple liquid drips out of the box, leading to an isolated heart in jayce's hands. in the background are two larger images of jayce and viktor in their final forms– jayce, as depicted in act 3 of season 2, while viktor is in his machine herald form. in the foreground are silhouettes of the two partners facing each other.$
