Why... WHY, in the year 2026, does the colour picker in Adobe Illustrator pick up the gradient style but NOT the gradient direction!?!?!? There's been over 30 full releases of Illustrator and this still happens!?

It’s a bit of software called VPX which uses the actual ROM from the original machine, so it plays as close to the original as you can get! I’ve got haptic surround speakers in mine so it ‘feels’ like the ball rolling around and hitting bumpers etc! It’s great fun!

This is how deep the rabbithole I am for virtual pinball… I'm knee deep in a PDF scan of a 1990 skateboard-themed pinball machine to try and recreate the precise solenoid triggers for my own personal Wallace & Gromit-rethemed virtual counterpart.
