iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Hope you start feeling better soon my friend!

Jamey Thomson @jameythomson.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I’m sorry you’re feeling this way, my friend. There’s so much misinformation around AI right now, with very little room for nuance or understanding. I don’t want to turn this into a debate. I just hate seeing you feeling this beaten down. Be well, and take care of yourself. 💜

Well Ok then. Like I said in my original post; nothing but tribalism. No room for nuance. 🙄

Jamey Thomson @jameythomson.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I’m not interested in debating AI here. My point was specifically that the subject needs more nuance, and I’m leaving it at that.

Jamey Thomson @jameythomson.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

It’s not hated by everyone. I personally find the technology fascinating, both professionally and personally. Most people constantly angry at it haven’t got a clue on how it actually works. There’s no room for nuance discussion about it, it’s all tribalism these days with extremist views on it.

Thx! I’m much better than I was on Sunday and Monday, but I still have a low-grade fever, so I’m going to get lots of rest and drink lots of fluids. 🤒

Take some time for yourself and feel better. I hope though you don’t delete your account on here. You’re a good friend, and it’d be sad to see you leave. 😢 You’ve got friends here who care for you. I hope you remember that.

Been using it for my job lately. It’s been a huge boost in productivity in many areas. I’ve been at my job long before AI showed up.

Anything with two screens is gonna need some…adjustments, yeah.

This NOT official. This is a visual mockup, but it’s just to demonstrate that if they wanted to, TPC/GF/Nintendo could easily release an external cartridge reader that directly connects to Pokémon Home & bypasses bank’s whole process that is going away. But they’re not going to. Total shame.

I’m also debating if I want to transfer certain event mons up or leave those in my older games where they can be best enjoyed. Most modern game I own is SV, and I didn’t get Legenda ZA due to the grossly anti-consumer practices done with it.

Already got two thankfully. Not shiny or anything, but one is in a Safari Ball from Soul Silver.

www.thegamer.com/pokemon-bank... Not enough words in the world to describe how angry I am. They could easily keep this running. Now there will be no way to transfer from Gens V to VI, no way to legitimately complete the Dex in certain games, among many other complications of shutting it down.

It would be great for streaming. It’s also super easy to set up out of the box. Though I’m still getting used to the controller. Valve truly has entered into the console wars. This console was the most expensive one I’ve ever bought outside of a gaming PC. But I still feel good supporting Valve.

110

Jamey Thomson @jameythomson.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Yup! There’s a waitlist on Steam for it, and after a few months, I was lucky enough to be selected to receive it. It wasn’t cheap, just over $1,500, if I recall correctly. Despite that, I have a feeling that its price will only increase more over time, so I decided to purchase it while I could.

The Internet in general is completely unsafe without an adblocker. Not only because screw annoying ads, but I would also make the argument that it protects against malicious pop-ups, malware, spyware, and more. I see it as part of Internet, security and basic Internet hygiene to have an ad blocker.

Hazardous Air Quality today broke a new record, the worst air quality in Chicago’s history due to the downwind Canada wildfire smoke. It’s so bad, and it smells like a bonfire outside everywhere with thick smoke. We’re being told to stay inside until further notice pretty much. 😖😶‍🌫️
