Trouble in Pairs is more subtle to inexperienced players who aren’t noticing the value that player is accruing due to ignoring the cards parameters because of cognitive load. It’s considerable card advantage. 000

Many other powerful commanders exist but new players don’t realize how oppressive Augie is or how unfair commander ninjutsu is. Winnie there’s more to say than this format allows. 110

For example Force of Will is powerful, but it’s not going to have the same explosive impact that a card like Underworld Breach can usually have. Both should be kept out of certain pods, but there’s a difference between them that isn’t proactive v reactive. 000

The art from that era is also hard to beat. Exodus-Judgment was a great time span for Magic art. The aesthetic was so good. 120
