Any recs for hair donation? Mine grows like a weed. These were taken approx a year apart, with a trim at 6 mos. On a lark, I decided to grow it out "until I got a book deal" (you can see how that's going), but now I think I'd like to donate. Any tips? Should I wait a few more months? #hairstyle

Lots of folks on Threads are talking about the staggering amount of scammer emails from people pretending to be book clubs, reviewers, and more. Seems like the endgame is eventually getting you to pay a good chunk of money for promotions and readers that likely don’t exist. Be careful out there.

My thoughts were snowballing, adding up all the bullshit I’ve dealt with since moving to Perne, and my heart was beating faster at each uneasy memory that passed behind my eyes. I was gripping the wheel with white knuckles, forcing myself to breathe through clenched teeth.
The rope on the net creaking from strain pulled my body into automation. The thoughts momentarily shut off as I set about pulling the fish in. With each haul on the rope, I took a little bit extra time, as I knew what would be in the net. It seemed like no matter where I turned, things were waiting to fuck with my mind.

Definitely my favourite review of my book so far. Given that the book is called ‘Chaos Theory’, I think they mean chaotic as a compliment, and, well, I cannot deny that the rest is accurate! Out Friday, eep!

The last 30% of the book goes on a chaotic tangent involving Kobi's purpose, a heist, and potatoes.
