This is not what Unkey is for at all.

Post for Me scaled a social media API to $13K MRR in under a year on Unkey. Keys from day one, then they moved hosting over too and deleted Render, Railway + Vercel. Auth + deployments, one platform. unkey.com/case-studies...

ap-southeast-1 is live! Unkey now runs in Singapore, bringing lower latency to every request across APAC. Deploy in one click.

dashboard key actions (create/update/delete/rotate/edit) now run through the same path as the public api. same validation, same errors. no more drift between api and dashboard. gateway key auth can enforce a key's named rate limits now, matching the experience in our API

if you are using automatic builds without dockerfiles you can tell us how to build. great for monorepos where you have shared packages.

100

James Perkins @jamesperkins.dev · 10/07/2026

you can attach roles and permissions when you create a key, instead of creating it and editing it after issue it with the right access from the start

100

James Perkins @jamesperkins.dev · 10/07/2026

you can now share an api key with a one-time link it reveals the secret once, then it's dead. a secure way to hand a key to a teammate or customer without dropping it in slack.

team at @unkey.com shipped a bunch this week. - one-time key sharing - roles + perms at key creation - per-env build commands - gateway key auth can enforce a key's named rate limits

I think you misunderstood. Why not take our MCP and then host it on your platform. If you want to be the one stop shop? I don’t care I’m just trying to give you a pipeline to accurate and up to date MCPs for your users

000

James Perkins @jamesperkins.dev · 01/07/2026

sure but it’s outdated, missing features, based on the copy? wouldn't it be easier to just host our MCP and get free updates, every time we update it.

June was pretty good: 33 billion billable verification 4 billion billable stand alone ratelimits 5000+ builds millions and millions of requests through our gateway compute and egress is still free @unkey.com for another month

What’s the difference between your mcp and our official mcp?

The @unkey.com team rolled up their sleeves and built a flexible auth abstraction layer. This was a long winding road so we wrote a blog post that covers: - The problem - Our solution - Challenges - Lessons we learnt along the way. go.unkey.com/local-auth

The team at @unkey.com are really cooking with the dashboard refresh. - Key creation with immediate feedback - Multiple ratelimits on a single key - Metadata with JSON formatter - Warning when you dismiss that we only show it once Live in production now.

If you Vibe code, and need to rate limit your app. We have the most generous free tier at @unkey.com - 150,000 requests that allow access to your application If you get attacked and we rate limit them, none of that is counted towards your usage stats. Enjoy 🫡

It costs money? Or it makes me money? Or it costs money but significantly less and better performance that in turns makes more money. As a CEO I like money but…
