Dad retold me his tale of seeing Bowie perform at Bournemouth Pavillian when he was still called ‘David Jones’ & was performing as Davy Jones and the Manish Boys - think circa 1964. Dad gave a detailed account of what Bowie was wearing - both he & Bowie were in there mod phase.

The title ‘I Was A Photograph’ actually came from something the artist who inspired the song said when she was sharing her story of life growing up in Rio (where she knew the young woman who inspired another song - the famous ‘The Girl From Ipanema’). open.spotify.com/album/3rNMls...

I have a new single out - ‘I Was A Photograph’ was actually originally written and recorded as part of a project/installation for the charity Sound Minds. There are are two versions a Bosa Nova Latin style mix and an 80’s synth-pop style one. Do check it out. distrokid.com/hyperfollow/...
