America doesn’t throw military parades for sitting president’s birthday celebrations; forget cost… focus on the meaning. Citizens should demean themselves to principles of our fundamental texts of our self-government rather than leaders that rule in our name. In the United States, the law is king.

Only way that GOP members of Congress will hold him accountable is when their reelection is in doubt; due to substantial gerrymandering, number of toss-up or vulnerable seats is significantly reduced. This won’t “feel” like a Nixon wave of GOP revolts. You have to talk about this w/ your neighbors.

Not to state the obvious, but none of them were sent to a terrorist prison in El Salvador. They all had lawyers, indictment by grand jury, a trial or a guilty plea where a judge ensured it was knowing & voluntary & access to an appeals process. In other words, all the hallmarks of due process.

Ummm... I'm advocating for due process for ALL American citizens and residents of the United States. I mean, it's an essential element of the US Constitution that is deeply rooted in English constitutionalism (as early as the Magna Carta in 1215).

It took President Andrew Jackson crashing the economy for Congress to reassert its powers under the US Constitution and stand up to an overbearing executive. Panic of 1837 not only doomed the administration of Van Buren, but it seriously affected the US economy for years. Who will be our "Whigs?"

Increased voucher subsidization leads to an overall drain of available public resources for our communities (especially for our public schools). This will lead to local districts having to DO MORE with FEWER resources, OR forcing local districts to approach voters with more levies.

Gov. DeWine should be spending his time focused on how to fairly & equitably fund public education. Cell phones are a problem, but can be addressed by local boards of education & school officials. What cannot be addressed locally is the abandonment of public education by the OH General Assembly.
