The world premiere of THE SPIRITUAL ADVISOR at DOC NYC was this weekend, and we had two sold out screenings! After the first, an elderly woman turned around and said, "I'm pretty conservative, but you changed my mind about the death penalty...but not for that Luigi Magione."

I first met Joel Fendelman when he reached out to me to talk about Charles Moore, Grand Saline, and my dissertation. Those conversations evolved into me producing Man on Fire. Our creative bond felt natural. Joel has his mediative aesthetic and vision, and I felt I could fit with his style.

It's been 11 years since Charles Moore self-immolated in my hometown of Grand Saline, TX to protest the town's racism. I think about him less as time passes. I guess that's natural, but it still hurts to passively overlook someone so formative to my life. In my eyes, he's a saint. RIP friend.
