I hate that I’m breaking my quote post rule. I do remember saying this a lot when it launched. Are people going to feel ok with being gated from their progression by needing to win PvP matches. I genuinely wasn’t sure. I love this game. I keep playing it because I think it’s fun. 🧵

I’m not always a fan of jump-scares. They can be cheap and unrewarding, but mixed with the humor and the way Zach redirected your attention long enough to forget what you were already expecting was masterful.

It was great! It was more of a Zach Cregger does Resident Evil film, than a ZC film standalone. It was the most faithful adaptation to the video game story beats and “pathing” while being an original story. I loved the humor, and the jump-scares were so good they genuinely got me a couple of times.

It wasn’t an explicit shirt that said MARATHON either. It was the Notorious shirt with the small logo icon on the back.

We saw Resident Evil last night and I saw a Marathon shirt. I told the person I liked their shirt, but later wished I said I loved it and it’s one of my all time favorite games (in case they were a Bungie employee since I am close enough it’s possible). Hopefully calling it out was enough.😅

A shadowy figure with a cane or staff that lurks nearby; and then vanishes in a shadow cloud when you get too close. I thought it was a statue while running from a troll, and then it appeared again and I saw it vanish. Extremely eerie! (I looked it up and know what it is).
