This is unbelievable cruelty and a human rights violation. It's morally and ethically indefensible. These children will be traumatized for the rest of their lives. No one who has any role in formulating or executing this policy can call themselves Christian or claim to support family values.

The 2020 No Surprises Act set up an arbitration process so patients didn’t get huge surprise medical bills. The result was profits for corporate capitalists and huge health care costs and waste. Patients pay for this through increased premiums with no improvements in health care quality or outcomes.

Thank goodness we have a functioning Emergency Management Agency in Massachusetts! I'd feel better if we had one at the federal level, instead of one gutted by Trump and company.

This is what cruelty looks like. I don't know how the Trump regime people responsible for this - and the members of Congress who sit by quietly and let it happen - can look themselves in the mirror.

A universal, single-payer U.S. health care system could save 100,000 lives and $1 trillion. However, capitalism has corrupted health care, putting profits before patients, so the six corporations dominating Big Medicine with over $2 trillion in revenue and $34 billion in profits must be broken up.

Capitalism and its pursuit of profits have corrupted our health care system, resulting in the most expensive system in the world, but one that delivers poor outcomes. Three elements have driven this corruption: corporate consolidation, private equity, and privatization.

Trump’s deal with corporate elites is corrupt and undermines democracy. We all pay financially and with our freedom. Gerard Baker of The Wall Street Journal has written two columns that make a powerful statement about the damage America’s corporate elites and their style of capitalism have done.

Eighty-eight large corporations with over $105 billion in profits paid no federal income tax in 2025. Many large, profitable companies’ employees rely on government-subsidized health insurance and food assistance to survive. This adds hundreds of billions to the annual federal budget deficit.

Profits and patient well-being are incompatible. Private, for-profit health care will always put profits first. This why American health care is the most expensive with the worst outcomes.
