Funny. The first time my game entered the exception handling code on the left, it froze for at least half a second. But only for the first time. I wonder if MSVC uses some lazy memory allocation in its exception instrumentation, or what could cause it. 🤔 #gamedev #cpp

Git diff of a piece of code that activates hurt animation for damaged objects in the game. Some kinds of objects don't have hurt animation, so I used to just wrap the code with try-catch. This caused a very specific problem, so I replaced it with a guard statement.
